[GriffinDWolf]: great fun I just got back from a trip downtown to get my car's cruise control(6 freaking hours cause they had problems) but i got to go to the ancient world treasures museam and see two mummies lots of sarcaufigi and statues and such. but i am now the proud owner of a new Anubis statue. ;) great fun. If you want to spend a couple of hundred dolars there you can even own a piece of authentic small statues(anubis horus and one more).

[GriffinDWolf]: and i found out something new and really cool on Sekmet...............Goddess of war & destruction. Having once unleashed her powers for the destruction of mankind, the Egyptians feared a repeat performance by Sekhmet. The Egyptian people developed an elaborate ritual in hopes she could be appeased. This ritual revolved around more than 700 statues of the goddess. The ancient Egyptian priests were required to perform a ritual before a different one of these statues each morning and each afternoon of every single day of every single year. Only by the strictest adherence to this never-ending ritual could the ancient Egyptians be assured of their ability to placate her.

[GriffinDWolf]: Well I just added a whole bunch of names (no info) to the list of gods and right now its up to what I counted 62 and that isn't even close to all of them cause there are alot of others. plus each god has its female or male counterpart of itself as a god and there are gods that are combined the most common bein a combination with ra or amun like amun-ra. there are a freaking lot of them

[GriffinDWolf]: oh and all of the pharohs with one exception of Imhotep (the only non pharoh) are all considered gods too after they have died and many had their own cults of worship
